• Carbon filter prevents volatile organic compound vapors from being released into the air
• Tube fittings secure waste tubes to carboy providing a closed system preventing leaks or spills
• Two-piece cap design eliminates the need to disconnect tubing from the adapter to install a closed cap
For use on UN/DOT carboys with 70-mm caps, these cap and carbon exhaust filter kits help safely capture dangerous vapors released by solvents in HPLC applications. The activated carbon exhaust filter traps potentially harmful vapors emitted from solvents, protecting workers from inhaling dangerous fumes. Select the appropriate size carboy to use with the cap and carbon exhaust filter, and create an efficient closed system for preventing spills and disposing of volatile organic compound waste.
The HDPE cap with acetal homopolymer adapter offers a wide range of tubing port configurations, with and without hose barb ports, and includes a chemical resistant EPDM gasket and additional plugs to seal any unused ports. The included 90-degree filter adapter provides a low profile position for the carbon filter to gain optimal system storage on or below the bench.
Each kit includes one 70-mm cap, various ports for waste tubing, one port for a carbon exhaust filter, one carbon exhaust filter, one straight and one 90-degree adapter for filter, tube fittings, EPDM gasket, and plugs for unused ports.
NOTE: VaporTrap™ UN/DOT solvent waste cap and exhaust filter kits are for use with UN/DOT carboys only. (Models
